Lesson 2: Studying 4 of The 12 Key Principles of Tazkiyah  

1. The Exposure Principle – The heart is affected by what it is exposed to. Duration and intensity matter. Good exposure leads to growth, while bad exposure leads to corruption.

2. The Element Principle – The heart is a pure element that interacts with external elements (good, neutral, or evil). Our task is to nurture and guard it.

3. The Maintenance Principle – Iman wears out, and the heart gets rusty. Continuous effort and striving are necessary to keep it strong.

4. The Personal Responsibility Principle – No one else can do Tazkiyah for you. You are fully responsible for the state of your heart.
